Aryn - Voltron OC

The first finish art I have produced in a long time, I am bad. But whatever!

I quite like this one. Her name’s Aryn, she’s a Voltron OC, yep. Built a bit as a narrative foil to Shiro, as a starting point to accentuate his character and then my brain kept going to fledge her out quite a lot to a fairly rounded character using what I could from the world we know as of Season 1 and some reasonable extrapolations.

Previous posts of the roughs show off more of the spine prosthetic she has, but as a character she is touchy about it and would not really wear clothing that would display it, so I went with somewhat of a yoga fitness outfit for her because she is a very active lady. Out and about, I am thinking a leather jacket over the comfy clothes and gloves to hide her mechanical hands.

As a character she’s stuck on a short leash by the fact she is paralyzed from the neck down and the spine prosthetic is the only way she can be up and about. It’s alien tech she doesn’t understand and run on a fuel she has no access to. She ex-military and her self-importance is very defined by her physical prowess, which makes her extra paranoid about the prosthetic getting damaged.
